Stop "Bugging" Me!

This toy bug has provided us with loads of entertainment!
Hyrum and I have been going back and forth, hiding this little critter for each other.
Don't worry, we sanitize the little guy after each surprise attack! :)

Mission Reunion

We went to Hyrum's mission reunion yesterday. President Cho was in town with his wife. What's a mission reunion without basketball? Sweet dunk! Watch out Nielson!

The Last Airbender

We celebrated my last official day of Spring Break with a movie and of course, popcorn! We watched The Last Airbender. Who would have known that I'm MARRIED to the last Airbender?
Oh the fun you can have at 1 AM...all you need is a little eyeliner, Korean clothes, and a husband with AMAZING ninja skills!!!

:) That's my husband!!! :)

Baby Days!

Last week I went to the doctor and he was concerned because I was measuring about a month behind schedule! He referred me to a perinatologist and she said that everything looks great, we just have a smaller baby. Based on their measurements, our little guy is in the 17th percentile, weighing a whopping 4 pounds 12 ounces...but he's still got a month to grow!
Some of my family was in town in March for their Spring Break. We had a baby shower while they were here. It was fun to share the experience with my family!
Our sweet neighbors let us use their home for the party and my sisters did a great job on all of the decorations. Thank you!
People brought lots of delicious food to share. Thanks!
It was great to spend time with family and friends!

My little sisters loved playing with Hyrum's niece Rayna...they are so excited to be aunts! Our little baby is the first grandkid in my family!
It's so fun to have cute baby stuff all over the house! It makes it all seem more real :) Thank you!
We asked people to draw a picture of what they imagine Baby Mitchell will look like.
Here's what people came up with! I guess we'll see for sure very soon! Thank you to everyone for all of your love, support, and thoughtfulness!

While my family was in town we spent some time in Salt Lake and visited the Church History Museum. My little sister Kaylee is famous! Her picture (below) is being displayed there.
Yep, that's my sister! I'm proud of her!
*Note: She drew this picture before Hyrum was even IN the picture...so it's out of date by 1, almost 2 people. It's hard to keep up with a growing family! We had fun playing at the other exhibits in the museum too! Thanks for coming to visit!!! It was wonderful to see you!

Missionary Work

We went to Yun-Ho's baptism at the beginning of March. Congratulations Yun-Ho on taking this important step in your life! Hyrum is such a great example to me! I'm learning how to be a better missionary and how to be more actively involved. I like the quote by Sister Beck in Mothers Who Know. She says "Think of the power of our future missionary force if mothers considered their homes as a pre–missionary training center. Then the doctrines of the gospel taught in the MTC would be a review and not a revelation." I feel like our home is kind of a pre-missionary training center for me as Hyrum and I prepare to serve a senior couples mission. I'm coming to understand moreso how missionary work is key to helping others come closer to Christ and be truly happy.
On March 12th Hyrum had the opportunity to take part in Jiho's baptism. We are so blessed to have the Gospel in our lives! I'm understanding that more and more.
